14% more tests?
The DITC have been in touch with DVSA (12th August) about something first noticed by ADI Teresa Allen. We are yet to hear back and will share the response if we do. We will also be raising this via our colleagues at NASP.
“Dear DVSA
Our members are very keen to know what progress we are making against the pandemic backlog. Please could you clarify your latest announcement on Gov.uk dated 11th August 22.
It states that “The latest statistics show that 425,887 car driving tests were carried out between 1 January and 31 March 2022 (up 14% compared to the same period in 2020).”
However, we ceased testing on 23rd March 2020. The result of this means you are comparing against figures which are nearly 10% down to begin with.
Can I ask what the like for like figures would be?
We forward to hearing your response.
Kind Regards
Chris
